In October 2015 and June 2016, Glenbrook South High School and dietrich bonhoeffer gymnasium filderstadt will take part in their third GAPP (German American Partnership Program) exchange program.
The German American Partnership Program (GAPP) is a non-profit high school exchange program between schools in Germany and the United States, sponsored by the German Foreign Office and by the US Department of State. The main objective of the Program is the integration of students into the everyday life of host families and into the classroom activities of host schools to provide them with a coherent intercultural experience. |
ViennaThe first part of the trip will be three days in Vienna as a group of Americans. We will get to know the Austrian capital as we also find our footing on European soil.

MunichAfter Vienna we will take a bus to Munich, stopping in the Austrian Alps along the way. In Munich we will explore the city as well as go to the famed "Neuschwanstein" castle just outside of Munich

Homestay - FilderstadtThe bulk of the time (two weeks) will be spent with families in Filderstadt, a suburb of Stuttgart. Students go to school, go on day trips and get a feel for what it would be like to be a teenager in Germany.
